Teams had four weeks to work on their moon lander designs, and the submissions we received were out of the world!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/J18Nm21rXRs\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A panel of judges made up of SOLIDWORKS executives, including SOLIDWORKS CEO Gian Paolo Bassi, Director of Education Marie Planchard, Vice President of Research and Development Manish Kumar, Professional Online Solutions Senior Director Murielle Martin, and Vice President of Product Management Igal Kaptsan, spent hours deliberating over the team\u2019s submissions. With dozens of entries, it was difficult for them to decide on a grand prize winner. But in the end, the judges made their decision.<\/p>\n<p>With over 25 posts on the <strong>3D<\/strong>EXPERIENCE platform community and constant communication with other teams, a detailed moon lander design, and a creative and well thought out back story, the winner of the first SOLIDWORKS xDesign Challenge for FRC Teams and a $10,000 mega sponsorship award is\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.explodingbacon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Team 1902 Exploding Bacon<\/a> and their Harris Block 1 moon lander!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to all the FIRST Robotics Competition teams who participated! We can\u2019t wait to see you all blast off the DESTINATION: DEEP SPACE and the 2019 FRC season!
