The Polytechnic University of Chihuahua (UPCH) was recognized by Intelligy as the first Advanced Engineering Certification Center in the region, thanks to its academic commitment and the high participation of its faculty in professional certifications.

In a solemn event, educational authorities, led by Rector Cristopher James Barousse, celebrated this milestone, which positions the institution as a pioneer in the certification of SOLIDWORKS competencies, valid globally. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Maquiladora Association, and other partner institutions.
Intelligy’s National Education Manager, Carlos Chávez Jurado, emphasized that this designation not only recognizes the efforts of certified faculty, but also promotes the training of professionals capable of innovating in technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and electric vehicles. The certification allows UPCH to offer students, faculty, and professionals in the region the opportunity to validate their skills internationally, opening doors to an increasingly competitive job market. This achievement, Chávez emphasized, reflects the vision of transforming the future through quality education.
Dr. Guadalupe Elvira García, representing the Secretary of Education, emphasized that this recognition strengthens the knowledge economy in Chihuahua by preparing graduates to lead in strategic sectors. The UPCH, with its programs in aeronautical engineering, automotive mechanics, industrial engineering, environmental engineering, and administration, has established itself as a benchmark in the development of competitive talent. Certifications in digital design, modeling, and validation foster analytical and critical thinking, essential in modern industry.
Rector Cristopher James Barousse expressed his pride in this milestone, highlighting the support of Governor María Eugenia Campos to attract investment and strengthen the industry in the state. The UPCH, as the only SOLIDWORKS certification center in Chihuahua, will offer ongoing training to industry professionals, providing them with advanced tools and power skills to face the challenges of the 21st century. This appointment not only benefits students, but also positions Chihuahua as a hub for educational and technological innovation globally.

This important achievement is due to the fact that several of its teachers have obtained professional certifications endorsed by SOLIDWORKS, including:
- Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA)
- Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP)
- CSWP – Sheet Metal (CSWP-SM)
- CSWP – Drawing Tools (CSWP-DT)
- Certified SOLIDWORKS Simulation Associate (CSWA-S)
For INTELLIGY, this designation represents a key step toward promoting more competitive education, since having certified teachers guarantees a higher academic level and better preparation for future professionals who will join the most demanding industrial sectors in the country.

“We sincerely congratulate the Polytechnic University of Chihuahua for this important advancement. This achievement reflects a clear commitment to academic excellence and to strengthening the region’s educational and industrial ecosystem. We encourage them to continue with these best practices that today position them as leaders in the country,” INTELLIGY stated in its institutional message.
Thank you educators for achieving your SOLIDWORKS certification credentials and providing these competencies to your students for the best job skills. You are supporting our SOLIDWORKS commercial customers with qualified students. Thank you Cristina for sharing this event with the SOLIDWORKS community.
Design well, Marie
