Educator and Student Empowerment with ABBK PhysicsWorks Training & Certification in Djerba Tunisia and Beyond
Over the past few months, our Dassault Systèmes, SOLIDWORKS reseller, ABBK PhysicsWorks has reached significant milestones, including the first milestone in the STEM Education pilot project for public high schools in Djerba, Tunisia, and hosting the first or many SOLIDWORKS Days.
The mission of ABBK PhysicsWorks STEM Education Project is to “empower young students to unleash creativity, solve problems, and lead technology-driven social and economic transformation.”
ABBK PhysicsWorks began this STEM Education Project by providing advanced tools for effective teaching and learning to dedicated Tunisian educators and all students. Tunisian educators came from a variety of Middle Schools and High Schools. During summer vacation, these dedicated teachers took a deep dive into understanding Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) concepts, simulating innovation with certifications, and encouraging teamwork through collaborative projects.
Going beyond STEM concepts and soft skills, ABBK PhysicsWorks hosted SOLIDWORKS training, SOLIDWORKS certification events and competitions, all with free access to SOLIDWORKS software. The events were held at their partner in education, Fondation Tunisie, Centre Elif.
The results were fantastic with over 160 people trained, 55 people SOLIDWORKS certified, 25 training session, 700 hours of instruction, and 3 major competition events.
ABBK PhysicsWorks is seeking partners to develop this STEM Education project on a national scale in Tunisia. They are working now in the states of Mahdia and Monastir, Tunisia and across Africa.
For the next event, ABBK PhysicsWorks already has 50 teachers on board ready to learn and teach their students. For more information scan the QR code below or go here.
ABBK PhysicsWorks would like to thank all the teachers that participated in these training sessions. Educators could be relaxing during their summer vacation!
ABBK PhysicsWorks produced a great video on the STEM Events. In all my years of teaching and with SOLIDWORKS, I know how important it is to understand culture of educators and students – but I have never seen crocodiles (watch until the end)!
Events as large as this cannot happen with out great support. Thank you Anouar Daoud, technical sales engineer, Abir Gouja, technical trainer engineer., and Hamdi Rihane, senior technical trainer engineer.
Connecting with so many teachers could not have occurred without educational sales representative, Ayoub Ben Bouyahyia.
Thank you, Fatma BayAnn J Khebir, marketing manager & business development rep for ABBK PhysicsWorks, for sharing with the SOLIDWORKS Community. Thank you for helping to provide such an innovative STEM Education program with SOLIDWORKS Certification in Tunisia and developing this program for Mauritanian with expansion in Africa. We look forward to the month’s ahead.
Design well, Marie
