Senior Design Course - Preparing for Engineering Capstone

Are you teaching or taking engineering senior design courses this Fall? Now is the time to prepare. With the help of My SolidWorks for Students, there are hundreds of online lessons in Simulation (Finite Element Analysis), Dynamic Simulation, Flow Simulation (Computational Fluid Dynamics), machine design, advanced modeling, visualization tools for the final report, and SOLIDWORKS certification for job-ready skills.

We provide My SolidWorks Student to all students and instructors for schools on subscription. Students can also get access to content if you purchase SOLIDWORKS Student Edition or 3DEXPERIENCE SolidWorks through the Edu Space learning portal.

Important: For My SolidWorks for Students follow these instructions. Get the SOLIDWORKS serial number from your instructor of SOLIDWORKS Student Edition (desktop). Watch the video.

The first time prompted, enter ” I am not a SOLIDWORKS customer and I do not have a SOLIDWORKS Serial number.” Leave the SolidWorks Serial # box blank at this time. Click Next.

Later, you will enter the serial number.

Once the registration process is complete, you can select a variety of learning paths. My favorite is the learning path to prepare for our Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate exam. Educators apply to be a SOLIDWORKS Academic Exam Provider here. Educators can give our certification exams in design, simulation, sustainability, and additive manufacturing.

You can find out more about our SOLIDWORKS browser-based technology on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. There are 100% cloud CAD apps that run on tablet, mac and Chromebooks. These apps are available separately.
