Ohio State Engineering Students Achieve 100% Passing Rate in SolidWorks Certification
Engineering students from The Ohio State University Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing course achieved 100% passing rate on the Certified SolidWorks Associate Exam (CSWA). Students with majors in mechanical, aerospace, nuclear, electrical and computer engineering, and integrated systems engineering develop different projects under the direction of Professor Dr. Sandra Anstaett Metzler.
New CSWA students Matt Brant, Tom Brown, Ricky Sasmal, Andrew Stryker created a SolidWorks animation as part of the course.
In December, over 5000 students achieved the CSWA credential preparing them with job ready skills.. CSWA tests the fundamental skills of engineering design graphics with SolidWorks. More institutions are providing CSWA exams as a key component in their design classes, giving students of all ages an advantage. The CSWA is now given as part of final exams at WPI and Colorado School of Mines.
The CSWA exam is given by CSWA Academic Provider institution in 12 languages on 5 continents including the University of South Australia, Conestoga College, Canada, TU Delft, Netherlands, Universidad Technologica de Pereira, Columbia, and North-West University, South Africa, Qualified schools on subscription can apply to become CSWA Academic Providers.
