Formula SAE Michigan - Engineering Students at their best

The Formula SAE Michigan event tests students’ engineering skills in automotive design, business practices, team work and presentation skills. The students here are from all over the world and have been working tirelessly for days to get their cars ready to compete.

The SolidWorks EDU team got to visit many teams today and now I get to share their favorite Add Ins – SolidWorks applications – with you.

To get full flow simulation for the intake manifold, turn on SolidWorks Flow Simulation. Click Tools, Add Ins. Check the SolidWorks Flow Simulation box. Otherwise just FlowXpress is active.
If you have a circuit board layout, use the Circuit Works Add In to get a 3D respresentation of the board. Turn on SolidWorks Routing for electrical cable and wire harness
The technical presentation for the judges needs Photoview 360. Turn on Photoview 360 Add In and produce great images.
