This week is all about SolidWorks 2010\u2026 Beta 3 is available through the customer portal and the NDA has been lifted. Check out the Blog roll for new features in SW2010\u2026 These guys are right on the mark and have already posted some great reviews. Also be sure to check back here for the first of our SW2010 posts.<\/p>\n

For myself this week I am adding the finishing touches to my presentations for our Reseller meeting on Wednesday. On this day we show all the SW2010 goodness to the whole channel.<\/p>\n

Fingers crossed it goes well \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

If you like to add Dimensions manually to the drawing using the dim tool. Look out for the Rapid Dimension<\/strong> Glyph\u2026 <\/p>\n

Select any edges you want to dimension and the glyph appears\u2026 click one of the segments and SolidWorks automatically places and organises that dimension for you. Not many things in CAD deserve the word \u201cCool\u201d but I think this does!! \ud83d\ude42<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t take my word for it\u2026 try it out!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
