But sometimes you don\u2019t know which view to pick.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/6a00d83451706569e20120a53bc350970b.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"image\" border=\"0\" class=\"at-xid-6a00d83451706569e20162fcb38817970d\" height=\"223\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/6a00d83451706569e20162fcb38817970d.png\" style=\"border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px\" title=\"image\" width=\"454\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Take this example\u2026 I want to look normal to the bar code. Now is that the front view, the side view\u2026 mmmm   <br \/>I could look at the triad, I could just try a view or I could pick the face and go normal to\u2026    <br \/>Well this just got much easier!!<\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\">If you now hit Normal To with <u>nothing<\/u> selected SolidWorks will take you normal to the nearest standard view.
