Adrian Fanjoy is a seven-year presenter at SolidWorks World<\/a>.  <\/span>He\u2019s Technical Services Manager at Computer
\nAided Technology, and his presentation \u201cTackling
\nAdministrative Images: Deploying SolidWorks to the Masses<\/a>,\u201d is scheduled
\nfor Wednesday 2\/3 at 1:30 pm.  <\/span>Adrian was
\nnice enough to sit down and talk for a few minutes about all things SolidWorks
\nWorld.<\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: As a presenter, what do you enjoy most about SolidWorks
\nWorld? <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/o:p>A: I really enjoy talking to all the people who show up, with
\nwhom I don\u2019t get to interact on a day to day basis: customers, colleagues and SolidWorks
\npersonnel that I only get to talk to over the phone regularly.  <\/span>I also enjoy the high level of interaction; there\u2019s
\nno place to get more information than at SolidWorks World. People are always
\nwilling to talk about what they\u2019ve learned as they go through the event.<\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: What do you anticipate the hot topics to be for the 2010
\nshow? <\/strong><\/p>\n

A: <\/o:p>On the customer side, SolidWorks 2010 will be a big
\ntopic.  <\/span>What people have learned about
\nthis version and how the software\u2019s performing for them\u2014so far, everyone I\u2019ve
\ntalked to has been pleased with the 2010 offering.  <\/span>
<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Personally, I\u2019m very interested in the direction of the
\nsoftware and what next steps will be taken for the 2011 and 2012 versions.  <\/span>Traditionally, SolidWorks is very good about
\nglimpses of direction during this event.<\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: What\u2019s your funniest memory from past SWW shows at which
\nyou\u2019ve presented? <\/strong><\/p>\n

A: <\/o:p>At 2 a.m. one year in New Orleans, my group decided that it
\nwas time to have a bite to eat.  Being from the South and living in the
\nChicago area, I learned long ago that Krystal and White Castle are the same
\nthing.  <\/span>Apparently you have to be sober
\nto come to this conclusion, because I still to this day hear how much better
\nKrystal is than White Castle.  I keep telling them that a tiny piece of
\nmeat on a steamed bun is the same as a tiny piece of meat on a steamed bun, but
\nthey still insist that there\u2019s a difference. <\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: What sessions do you most look forward to attending?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: <\/o:p>I haven\u2019t had a chance to check out the agenda yet, since
\nI\u2019ve been busy wrapping up my own presentations.  <\/span>I\u2019m presenting twice this year, one on my own<\/a>
\nand one co-presenting with Josh Altergott<\/a>. <\/p>\n

<\/o:p>The one I present on my own is one I\u2019ve given every year for
\npast five SolidWorks World events.  <\/span>It
\nfocuses on Administrative Images, which discusses deploying SolidWorks to large
\nnumbers of people; I change it up every year based on the tweaks to the most recent
\nversion.  <\/span>Some might consider this a
\nboring topic\u2014I don\u2019t have any of the pretty pictures or graphics helping me to
\nkeep people awake!  <\/span>But it\u2019s usually very
\nwell received; no one\u2019s fallen asleep on me yet. <\/p>\n

  <\/span><\/p>\n

Q: Which SolidWorks World has been your favorite?<\/strong>
<\/o:p><\/p>\n

A: The Orlando events are usually my favorite.  <\/span>I have always been a big Disney fan and the
\nTuesday night events are frequently held somewhere within the Disney
\ncomplex.  Last year I got to ride the Mt. Everest roller coast 8
\ntimes.  (Try that on a weekend in June during normal park hours!) <\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: As a seasoned presenter, do you have any tips you\u2019d pass
\nalong to other presenters? <\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/o:p>A: You\u2019re there to entertain as well as inform.  If your
\naudience falls asleep during your presentation, it doesn\u2019t matter how wonderful
\nthe information is.  They missed it.  Keep them awake and engaged and
\nthey will remember what you told them. <\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Q: Any other thoughts you\u2019d like to share with the SolidWorks
\ncommunity?<\/strong>
<\/o:p><\/p>\n

A: If you\u2019ve never been, then you need to experience this
\nevent.  It is amazing to me the sheer number of people I see returning
\nyear after year to SolidWorks World.  Once you experience the value you
