1) Why did you choose to do the work you do?<\/strong>
\nI can always remember wanting to make new things. Although the design challenge overtook hands-on making, I thrive on the creative process of making sense of complex (and potentially conflicting) requirements to achieve a functional, usable and aesthetically-pleasing solution, and not just a poor compromise. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

2) What is your proudest career moment?<\/strong>
\nFeedback from users that a design has genuinely improved their quality of life. We first experienced this with the ground-breaking dial-a-dose insulin pen that replaced multiple daily-use vials and syringes. <\/p>\n

3) What goal do you have that inspires you most? <\/strong>
\nSolving seemingly impossible challenges by working as part of a team to get better health-care products in to millions of patients' hands. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

4) How has SolidWorks made a difference in your life?<\/strong>
\nAs an early adopter, I have always valued SolidWorks\u2019 powerful tools, which are accessible to designers and engineers who use CAD as only one part of their product development process and are therefore sporadic users. Beyond the product offering, I also admire the company's ability to sustain high ethical ideals with a strong commercial drive. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

5) What do you do for fun?<\/strong>
\nMy friends and family describe me as a technophile, but I'm not interested in technology for its own sake. My real challenge is to find technology that is genuinely family-friendly; it's great that my two favorite examples from Sonos and Apple (the iPhone) can work together! <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
