Whereas working from home may pose many challenges, there are also numerous opportunities for staying connected and engaged from the comfort of your own home.<\/p>\n<p>It is with that purpose in mind that our SOLIDWORKS team has launched a new initiative named LIVE Design \u2013 you may have read <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3bXWv6G\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>this introductory blog<\/strong><\/a> about it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2020\/04\/brianzw_baby-scaled.jpg\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our internal SOLIDWORKS experts, being well-versed in SOLIDWORKS Desktop themselves, decided to take the time to share their knowledge with you via live-streamed videos on our YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p>The very first episode\u00a0\u00a0aired on Friday, March 30. Mike needed the rack and pinion steering in his hot rod to have the pinion shaft supported better. Watch him design a support for the pinion shaft that bolts right on without any modifications to the housing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 13<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cDesigning a Desk with Weldments with Mike Sande.\u201d Mike recently rebuilt his home office that started with a built-in desk. See how the process came to life with the use of SOLIDWORKS Weldments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 17<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cModel Mania 2019 Part Modeling\u201d with Mark Schneider. Mark will show how a simple part can be modeled several ways and the benefits and pitfalls of each technique.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 20<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cDesigning and Making a Growth Chart\u201d with Michael Steeves. As a father of three kids, Michael will show how you can design and make your own six-foot growth chart using SOLIDWORKS, a home office printer (that&#8217;s right, paper) and some basic building supplies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 24<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cGarage Time with Jordan Tadic.\u201d \u00a0Jordan will examine a workflow for building a cabinet, along with other stuff around his garage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 27<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cDesign Spur and Helical Gears with SOLIDWORKS\u201d with Jeremy Regnerus.
