Even beyond that, many 3D CAD enthusiasts have embarked on the challenge to capture their curvature-laced detail by digitally bringing these helmets to life.

Don’t believe me? Just Google: “iron man 3d cad” or “master chief 3d cad,” and prepare to dive down the rabbit hole that is the “Images” tab on your search results page.

This is one of the plethora of reasons why it was so exciting to have Brad Thompson and the Impact Props team at 3DEXPERIENCE World this year. As you may remember hearing at 3DEXPERIENCE World, Brad is a degreed mechanical engineer who has a passion for making – and showing his creations to his doting YouTube audience that, today, boasts almost 600k subscribers.

On stage, Brad released a video showing the power of 3D Sculptor and 3D Creator. For all you industrial designers and surface modeling enthusiasts out there, 3D Sculptor changes the game by allowing you to create complex surfaces quickly using intuitive push-pull interaction to shape your designs. This, when used with either SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD or 3D Creator (providing the parametric ‘punch’), can be super effective in increasing ideation and decreasing modeling/editing times.

Want to make easier surface modeling a part of your design process today? Try 3D Sculptor for yourself here.

But that was just “on stage.” Lots happened before and after Impact Props appeared with other companies like watchX, Awake Boards, and RIZE – just a few examples of longtime SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD users who’ve embraced tools like 3D Sculptor at this phase to elevate their design processes.

For one: we were in Nashville, TN most of the week!
