SWUGN Group Leader Spotlight: Chase Draper <\/strong><\/p>\n Chase Draper is the leader of the Central Alabama\u00a0SOLIDWORKS User Group<\/a>. He is a project engineer where he designs process equipment for grinding and separating aggregate powders.\u00a0 He’s been a CSWE since 2014.<\/p>\n Chase had been helping out with the group for several years, and when former leader Steve Uptain landed a new job that frequently took him out of town, Chase stepped up to take over. He’s\u00a0been successfully running the group with an average attendance of 15 for more than 3 years now.<\/p>\n After developing a feel for what his members are interested in he tries to cater mostly to topics that interest them. So understandably, when asked what the best meeting the Birmingham has had to date, he responded: \u201cit\u2019s hard to pick one out\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n Chase is a keen mountain biker where he spends much of his free time when he isn\u2019t working or running user group meetings. \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n So why should people attend a SOLIDWORKS User Group meeting?\u00a0 Chase says: \u201cI learned much of what I know and got my current job through the user group meetings.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Author note: That may be the best brief testimonial for SOLIDWORKS User Groups I’ve heard.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Since 1996,\u00a0SOLIDWORKS User Groups<\/u><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0have been a valuable resource for SOLIDWORKS users all over the world.\u00a0\u00a0The SWUGN Committee<\/u><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0DS SOLIDWORKS<\/u><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0provide ample support, but the real stars are the SOLIDWORKS User Group Leaders.
