{"id":3453,"date":"2017-01-20T12:43:12","date_gmt":"2017-01-20T18:43:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/swcommunity\/?p=3453"},"modified":"2017-08-25T07:48:30","modified_gmt":"2017-08-25T11:48:30","slug":"what-was-your-favorite-solidworks-world-special-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/2017\/01\/what-was-your-favorite-solidworks-world-special-event.html","title":{"rendered":"What Was Your Favorite SOLIDWORKS World Special Event?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swworld.solidworks.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3454\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/01\/sww17.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"381\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Details for the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/2017\/01\/solidworks-world-2017-special-event-preview.html\">SOLIDWORKS World 2017 Special Event<\/a> have been announced, and it looks like we&#8217;re in for another great time.<\/p>\n<p>This time of the year always gets me\u00a0reminiscing\u00a0about some of my favorite SOLIDWORKS World special events.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve been to everyone of them, so its hard to pick my overall favorite.\u00a0 Here are\u00a0three that stand out:<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOLIDWORKS World 2011 &#8211; San Antonio &#8211; Cowboys Dancehall<\/strong><br \/>\nThere was an indoor rodeo and\u00a0lots of Shiner Bock beer, but my favorite part was watching\u00a0800 or so SOLIDWORKS users dancing, swaying, and fist-pumping to local band LC Rocks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3456\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/01\/LCRocks-615x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>SOLIDWORKS World 2012 &#8211; San Diego &#8211; Gaslamp Quarter<\/strong><br \/>\nGreat food, good music, and just a short walk from the hotels.\u00a0 And these nice ladies.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3458\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/01\/IMG_0455-615x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>SOLIDWORKS World 2016 &#8211; Dallas &#8211; Gilley&#8217;s<\/strong><br \/>\nFor the first time, we booked a nationally known band, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.\u00a0 The show was fantastic, and I spent the entire set standing only one person deep from the stage. Oh yeah, I got to meet her too!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2507\" src=\"https:\/\/blog-assets.solidworks.com\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2016\/02\/067-615x461.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"615\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Those are just three of my favorites, which SOLIDWORKS World special event was your favorite.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Details for the SOLIDWORKS World 2017 Special Event have been announced, and it looks like we&#8217;re in for another great time.
