There are a lot of exciting things that go on this time of the year for SOLIDWORKS users.\u00a0 The release of SOLIDWORKS 2015 means SOLIDWORKS Resellers are gearing up for Rollout Events<\/a>, the SOLIDWORKS World 2015 Call-for-Papers<\/a> is close to closing, and the SOLIDWORKS World 2015 agenda is being prepared.\u00a0 Throw in 33 SWUGN<\/a> local chapter meetings and you’ve got some very busy folks.<\/p>\n

There are nine SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings on the calendar this week, and I get to visit three of them.\u00a0 I’ll join Jeremy Regnerus<\/strong> for meetings this week in Huntsville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville.<\/p>\n

A brand new SOLIDWORKS User Group kicks off this week in Kearney, Nebraska.\u00a0 Southern Region SWUGN representative Todd Blacksher<\/strong> will be there to help the South Central Nebraska SOLIDWORKS User Group<\/a> get things off on the right foot..<\/p>\n

Something about Sheboygan, Wisconsin brings back memories from childhood, but I’ve long forgotten exactly what that is.\u00a0 At any rate, there’s a brand new SOLIDWORKS User Group<\/a> starting up with a meeting in November.<\/p>\n

I got an email from Graham Rae<\/strong> letting me know how much he enjoyed visiting\u00a0the Rockford Area SOLIDWORKS User Group<\/a>.\u00a0 Graham used words like “Great”, “Excellent”, and “Energetic”.\u00a0 I received a note from Tom Clark<\/strong> the group leader, which simply \u00a0said “We had a good meeting”.<\/p>\n

Jim Boland<\/strong> has been doing his share of traveling lately, with an appearance at the New Mexico SOLIDWORKS User Group<\/a> in August, and a visit to the SOLIDWORKS Milwaukee Area Resource Team<\/a> (SMART) this month.\u00a0 Jim loves to present and has a really great look at Animations using SOLIDWORKS.\u00a0 He’s available for your meetings with a little advanced notice.<\/p>\n

Alaska looks to get its first SOLIDWORKS User Group as Gerry Mott<\/strong> relocates in October.\u00a0 That will\u00a0leave West Virginia and Arkansas as the only US states not served by a local chapter.<\/p>\n

I’ve got a secret project that I will be discussing this week with a couple of our SOLIDWORKS User Groups.\u00a0 If it all works out, you might see something pretty cool at SOLIDWORKS World 2015.<\/p>\n

We’re putting together an “Executive Tour” with Aaron Kelly<\/strong> (and possibly Suchit Jain<\/strong>) for North Texas and Oklahoma in November.\u00a0 Stay tuned here for more information.<\/p>\n
