There are some great sessions starting at 4:30pm, so break away from the goodies a little early and get a good seat.

Tips and Tricks: Getting the Most From New Desktop/Laptop Technologies
Tom Salomone, Hewlett-Packard
If you've been to enough SolidWorks World conferences, you've probably seen Tom at least a few times. You just may not know him by name. This session might change that. Formerly a Senior Engineering Manager at HP, Tom is now the worldwide Manager of the Mechanical Design Automation segment, responsible for <strike>marketing</strike> showing which computer products are best for CAD. This session will cover hardware, graphics cards, and operating systems and what works best for SolidWorks.

Beyond the Weldments Toolbar
Keith Pedersen, CAPINC
When an East Coast user group needs a good presentation, Keith is one of the guys they know they can turn to. This session sounds very interesting, a combination of Weldment functionality coupled with some advanced tools to help speed the creation and editing of Weldments.

Plastic Part Design Using SolidWorks
Julie Napolitan, SolidWorks Corporation
The first time Julie did this session, everything was going smoothly until…well, let's just say there was a hiccup or two. Since then, she's been taking tap dancing lessons and refining the presentation. There's a great deal of very good information for plastic part designers, and Julie will cover things like snaps, lips and grooves, and draft. And who knows…she might even do a little soft-shoe if things don't work out perfectly.

Awesome Assemblies – Leveraging and Maximizing SolidWorks Assembly Tools
Bernadette Currie, Kwantlen Polytechnic and Ben Berkmortel, Seon Design
Any session with the word "awesome" in the title has to be a good one. Both presenters carry impressive resumes, and Ben was a highly ranked speaker at SolidWorks World 2009. If you are looking for strategies to build robust assembly models, attend this session.

Advanced Modeling 301
Mark Biasotti, SolidWorks Corporation
Mark Biasotti.
