{"id":33567,"date":"2008-06-20T11:49:39","date_gmt":"2008-06-20T15:49:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/swcommunity\/this-group-prot"},"modified":"2008-06-20T11:49:39","modified_gmt":"2008-06-20T15:49:39","slug":"this-group-prot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/2008\/06\/this-group-prot.html","title":{"rendered":"This Group Protected by Smith &#038; Wesson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the best SWUGN success stories over the past few years has been the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swugn.org\/pages\/calendar\/UGdetails.html?id=373\">Central MA\/Northern CT SolidWorks User Group<\/a>.&nbsp; Superbly managed by a 4 person committee &#8211; Ed &quot;The Mad Scientist&quot; Gebo, Randy &quot;The Traveler&quot; Lennox, Tom &quot;The Brains&quot; Cote, and Glen &quot;The Quiet One&quot; LePage &#8211; the group averages nearly 50 attendees per bi-monthly meeting.&nbsp; They have also been <strong><em>very<\/em><\/strong> good at mixing things up when it comes to meeting places.&nbsp; I&#8217;m not sure which one of these guys has the magic touch, but CMNC-SWUG meetings have been held at some interesting facilities.<\/p>\n<p>This month&#8217;s meeting will be held at the Smith &amp; Wesson facility in Springfield, MA.&nbsp; Provided that you follow all of the security rules, you&#8217;ll get a nice tour of the plant along with some terrific presentations.
