{"id":33547,"date":"2008-04-14T09:41:17","date_gmt":"2008-04-14T13:41:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/swcommunity\/well-i-finally"},"modified":"2008-04-14T09:41:17","modified_gmt":"2008-04-14T13:41:17","slug":"well-i-finally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.solidworks.com\/solidworksblog\/2008\/04\/well-i-finally.html","title":{"rendered":"Well, I Finally Missed One"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I arrived in Nashville for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swugn.org\/pages\/summit\/SWUGN_Technical_Summit.html\">SWUGN Summit<\/a> last Tuesday looking forward to another stellar event.&nbsp; Alas, it wasn&#8217;t to be &#8211; a medical emergency at home left me scrambling for a quick return flight that night.<\/p>\n<p>So, what do you do when you have 90 SolidWorks users expecting you for a day full of technical sessions?&nbsp; Simple &#8211; turn everything over to Ricky, Gary, Richard, Dana, and Ramesh.&nbsp; After a very brief meeting on the way to the airport (and handing over my suitcase full of badges, agendas, prizes, and projector) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rickyjordan.com\/\">Ricky Jordan<\/a> stepped up big-time on Wednesday and delivered the goods.&nbsp; By all accounts, it was a huge success.<\/p>\n<p>So, after 20 consecutive events, I missed my first SWUGN Summit.&nbsp; I&#8217;ve often wondered (as have others) what would happen in a situation like this one.&nbsp; Turns out there&#8217;s nothing to worry about &#8211; user group leaders and members, SWUGN reps, and fellow SolidWorks employees will be there to carry the day.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks again everyone.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I arrived in Nashville for the SWUGN Summit last Tuesday looking forward to another stellar event.&nbsp; Alas, it wasn&#8217;t to be &#8211; a medical emergency at home left me scrambling for a quick return flight that night.
