But, forgetting to take your medication can have consequences beyond a peckish puss and dry cereal. Here to make sure patients remember their pills and avert medical complications is the Smart Pill Box.<\/p>\n<p>Not only does this box make it easy to store different types of medication, it\u2019s linked to an app that alerts patients via their mobile devices when it\u2019s time to take their pills. The Smart Pill Box also monitors pill consumption and prompts patients when they need to renew prescriptions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-container\">\n<div class=\"entry-content-asset\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XquUrg1uNqg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nA debut design in SOLIDWORKS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/shop.vitility.com\/en\/health-fitness\/medication-aids\/smart-pill-box-zwart\" target=\"_blank\">Smart Pill Box<\/a><\/strong> was produced by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/vitility.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vitility<\/a><\/strong>, a Dutch product design business with a growing reputation for innovation. Yet this was its first project completed in SOLIDWORKS. Did the lack of familiarity with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/solidworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SOLIDWORKS<\/a><\/strong> muddy the waters? No. Instead, it brought added clarity to the design process and slashed development time.<\/p>\n<p>For example, while the initial idea was for the box to be made out of one complete piece, it soon became clear that this would be difficult in production. Designing in SOLIDWORKS meant Vitility\u2019s designers could quickly model the box\u2019s lid, hinge and main container as separate components to be assembled post-production.
