As a result of this rather daunting reality, auto manufacturers are eyeing the future and busy developing cars that rely on more sustainable energy sources. One of those companies is Rimac Automobili, a global producer of electric vehicles, drive trains and battery systems. The company is the end result\u00a0of founder Mate Rimac\u2019s efforts to convert his own BMW into a racing-caliber electric vehicle.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0effort eventually resulted in the Rimac Automobili e-M3, which was used as a test mule for the development of battery technologies, battery management systems, and propulsion drives that are now part of the Rimac Concept One, the world\u2019s first electric hyper car.<\/p>\n

The development team behind these efforts is made up of designers and engineers working out of a facility in Zagreb in Croatia.
