One of our newer case studies on the Cambridge University Eco Racing (CUER) team answers that question. The CUER team is a group of 60 students at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom who build and race solar-powered vehicles. Since its founding in 2007, CUER has grown to become the top UK developer of solar-powered vehicle technologies and a leading contender to win the 2013 World Solar Challenge. Fulfilling CUER’s mission and developing competitive solar cars required an easy-to-use, yet robust, 3D design platform.

Learn more about how the team is using SOLIDWORKS at: https://www.solidworks.com/sw/successes/customer-story.htm?record=Cambridge-University-Eco-Racing&id=5550

Follow competition news and other Education updates at the SOLIDWORKS Teacher Blog.

One of the things I love about working for SOLIDWORKS is our Education Program (I’m a teacher’s kid, so education is something near and dear to my heart).
