The week celebrates engineering’s contributions to society and emphasizes the importance of math, science, and technology education. Just by watching the winter games, viewers are inspired by the amazing feats of the athletes and how much equipment design can contribute an athlete’s success. Similarly, for an engineer, an education is crucial in providing her with the right tools to succeed and become an innovative designer in the future

Our Education customers have embraced the importance of a strong engineering education. Here are some of their stories:

GrandView High School

Preparing students for the 21st century, GrandView High School replaced AutoCAD 2D software and adopted SolidWorks 3D CAD solutions to help students win the top technology jobs of the future. By embracing SolidWorks into their curriculum, GrandView High School boosted enrollment in technology focused classes. The school even gave its students the chance to compete in the 2011 Technology Student Association CAD Championships. They were able to produce one competition champion and a few finalists who made it into the top ten.

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-medium wp-image-21439" alt="Brent Last, 2011 Technology Student Association (TSA) National CAD Championship winner, shown at with Technology and Computer Science Department Coordinator Jay E.
