Unveiling an All-Star Lineup of Speakers at 3DEXPERIENCE World 2024

I might be a little bit biased, but the General Sessions is always my favorite part of 3DEXPERIENCE World. It’s the only time when everyone gathers together in one space and can truly appreciate our passionate community and collectively celebrate each other. Imagine what we can all accomplish together to improve the world we live in. Could we provide clean, renewable, and sustainable energy to power the entire world?

We have a great lineup of speakers this year for 3DEXPERIENCE World in Dallas next month. Last year we moved the closing General Session to the afternoon to wrap up three days of conversations, collaboration, and celebration with the people who make up the 3DEXPERIENCE® Works universe. I think it’s a great way to end the event, so that won’t change.

On Monday, we’ll set the stage (literally and figuratively) for the next three days of strategy, product innovation and community conversations. In addition to a wide range of customers who will share their stories, we will welcome our new CEO, Pascal Daloz to the stage. He joined Dassault Systèmes in 2001 as Vice President of R&D in charge of sales development. Bernard Charles, who will remain in his role as Executive Chairman of the Board, will share his vision for the future. SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Works leadership will also provide their insights into what’s coming up this year.

We’re excited to have Dr. Lonnie Johnson join us during Monday’s General Session. Best known as the inventor of the Super Soaker water gun, Dr. Johnson also holds over 100 patents, the vast majority of which are energy-related. A leading developer of the next two generations of battery technology, Ceramic Solid-State Batteries and Lithium-Air batteries, he was awarded the “Breakthrough Award” from Popular Mechanics magazine for an invention that converts heat directly into electricity. He is also involved in the Johnson STEM Activity Center, which empowers students from diverse and underserved communities through exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

We listened to your feedback and brought back Tuesday morning’s General Session to preview some of the new advancements in our design, simulation, data management, and manufacturing solutions. Discover how across disciplines we can pursue common goals and collectively imagine the possibilities ahead.

SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE Works leaders will showcase the technology that addresses customer needs today and in the future with stories from companies, such as Arthur Bus, Flowserve, Nagano Automation, Proteus Motion and Viscon Group. We will also be joined by Aneesa Muthana, CEO of Precision Grinding and CNC Machining Businesses, a hands-on leader with a mission to increase diversity in manufacturing.

Tuesday will also feature a deeper dive into those areas with Domain Sessions on Design, Simulation, and Manufacturing. Head over to the Reseller Room (Hall D) for all three, or join the topic that interests you the most, and attend user sessions on your favorite topics at other times.

Times for the domain-specific general sessions, which take place in Exhibit Hall A, are:

  •        10:45 am – The Future of Design: Join us for updates from SOLIDWORKS product management, revealing cutting-edge design and collaboration tools that empower you to thrive in any environment—whether on cloud, with cloud or bridging both worlds.
  •        1:15 pm – Simulation Without Limits: Explore the transformative impact of integrating simulation into the product development journey as it evolves into a catalyst for design improvement, eliminating guesswork. The extensive simulation solutions accessible to every SOLIDWORKS designer and engineer tackle numerous challenges throughout the product development phase.
  •        2:45 pm – Creating the Workforce of the Future: A diverse panel of experts will discuss how the industry can work together to increase diversity in manufacturing.  You’ll get an update from DELMIA R&D on what manufacturing solutions are coming to the 3DEXPERIENCE Works portfolio. You’ll also hear Behlen Manufacturing provide an update on its continuous improvement journey with Factory Simulation Engineer and from Highland Vans on its use of 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS and DELMIA Shop Floor Programmer role to build industry-leading Dream Vans.

Wednesday’s closing General Session will take place at 1:15pm CT. Go ahead and sleep in after all that fun you’re going to have at Gilly’s for our special event, and join us after lunch to wrap up the event with our closing session. Celebrate the SWUGN leaders and people who help make the community what it is – from the educators and startups to the long-timers joining us for the 25th event! Experience firsthand how today’s technologies unite people globally to share meaningful causes and realize collective visions.

Our closing keynote is Paddy Lowe, the founder and CEO of the fossil-free synthetic fuel company Zero. A former motor racing engineer and computer scientist, he spent 32 years working in Formula One, serving as Chief Technical Officer at Williams Racing, Executive Director (Technical) at Mercedes Formula One team, and Technical Director at McLaren. He was involved with cars that won 12 World Championships (7 Drivers’, 5 Constructors’) and secured 158 race wins. He left Formula One in 2019 and co-founded Zero in 2020.

I almost forgot! Each General Session will conclude with our technology preview of SOLIDWORKS 2025 serial presentation “Don’t Miss This Demo.”

See you soon.
