SOLIDWORKS CEO Manish Kumar on Experiencing “World” Again

Over the last several years our lives have changed significantly and abruptly. We all collectively fully understand the realities of not being together as a result of pandemic-related changes. How we live and work, has changed forever. A lot of us pivoted to remote work, adapting to new ways of engaging with our respective teams and finding best practices to remain productive.

While the work world has pivoted somewhat back to normal, how has working remotely changed us? How has it altered the way we collaborate with others? What aspects of in-person communication was most missed during that time?

We know it certainly changed established workflows but I for one, missed in-person interactions. That is the number-one reason I’m excited that we’ll be back together in Nashville. Let’s take a look at some of the many ways we can experience “World” together, again.

Back together again

3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 is happening soon and is perhaps the best example of how we can provide experiences that are important to our customers around the world, hopefully ones that can improve the way you work daily, and perhaps even improve the world we live in.

Let’s take a look at some of the experiences you can look forward to at 3DEXPERIENCE World that we hope will enrich your conference experience.

Community. SOLIDWORKS is proud to have the largest, most passionate user community in the industry, and our annual World events are the place to be to network, collaborate, and share tips and tricks with your like-minded peers. There will be ample opportunity to join up with old friends and meet new ones in MeetUps, the Hive, the Special Event Tuesday night on Broadway, the Playground, and more.

Domain Deep Dives. Because there is more to developing products than just design, this year we’re dividing General Sessions on Day Two into three separate domain-specific sessions: Design, Simulation and Manufacturing. Each session will feature in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities each area brings to improve product development.

Model Mania. Who doesn’t love Model Mania, now back for its 24th year! This is a fan favorite that pits user against user in a battle of modeling dominance and the resulting bragging rights. The in-person Model Mania competition can be found in the Playground so don’t miss this opportunity to show off our skills. Another cool, brag-worthy experience is taking advantage of a free certification exam at World. Don’t worry; virtual attendees can also participate.

Knowledge. I love learning and 3DEXPERIENCE World provides so many opportunities to expand the way we think about the world. Being together with so many curious, like-minded peers spurs the conversations that change the status quo, and I can’t wait. There will be ample opportunities for you to learn new skills in hundreds of tech sessions.

Connection. With the past few years under our collective belts, I think perhaps what I’m most looking forward to is connecting with others. 3DEXPERIENCE World provides so many opportunities to start the conversations that lead to greater innovation and to learn from each other. Participants will have the chance to connect with DS SOLIDWORKS R&D, Product Management, and other executives who are eager to answer all your questions. We have a proud tradition of listening and learning from our own users’ challenges. It’s how we improve what we do and we are very excited to pick things up where we left them.

If you have not yet registered for 3DEXPERIENCE World, there’s still time to attend in-person or virtually. Click here to register today or simply click on the banner below.
