Are you getting ready to run into General Session Monday morning in Nashville for the official kickoff of 3DEXPERIENCE World to get the best seat? I can’t wait to stand in front of the room and feel all of the energy of everyone being back together after three years!! Our General Sessions always feel a little like the cross between a rock concert and a revival (I couldn’t believe how excited everyone was about flange enhancements.) This year will be no different. Because it’s been so long, we thought this was the perfect opportunity to make some changes the format of General Session.
Monday will be a BIG welcome. We’ll celebrate a few things we might have missed, like new jobs, new certifications, and maybe even new companies. You’ll hear from Dassault Systèmes, 3DEXPERIENCE® Works, and SOLIDWORKS leadership about how technology enables a world where the virtual makes it possible to push the limits of the imagination. Jamie Siminoff, CEO, Founder & Chief Inventor of Ring, the world’s first Wi-Fi video doorbell, will share his journey from garage to a trusted, customer-first, whole-home security company. We’ll close Monday with a new “Don’t Miss This Demo” skit.
Tuesday will feature three focused General Sessions on specific topics. Since SOLIDWORKS users can benefit from the robust 3DEXPERINCE Works product innovation portfolio in different ways, we want to give attendees a choice in the topics they want to learn more about. The three sequential sessions will showcase the technology that addresses customer needs today and in the future with real customer stories. Stay in the main plenary room for all three, or join the topic that interests you the most, and attend user sessions on your favorite topics at the other times.
- 9:00 am – The Future of Design: SOLIDWORKS product management will deliver updates on the design and collaboration tools that provide the flexibility to work in any environment –– desktop, cloud-connected, or pure cloud. Learn about the solutions that can help you develop the next great high-quality product, and bring that product to market, while meeting customer demands.
- 10:45 am – Simulation Without Limits: Discover how adding simulation to the product development process becomes a design enabler and removes guesswork. The comprehensive simulation solutions available to all SOLIDWORKS designers and engineers address many challenges throughout the product development process. It’s not just for PhDs, simulation helps you make better decisions and reach optimal designs faster.
- 1:15 pm – Futureproof Your Manufacturing: A diverse panel of experts will discuss how the industry can overcome the growing skill gap and resulting labor shortages and how technology can also help. Hear from a self-taught SOLIDWORKS user and his daughter on their family’s journey from homelessness to business success in manufacturing by learning how to manufacture parts for others. Discover how a 60-year-old manufacturing company, Behlen Manufacturing, is adopting new technologies and processes—Lean principles, smart manufacturing, and the adoption of the virtual twin—to move to the forefront of industry 4.0.
The closing General Session will take Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 1:15 pm CST to wrap up three days of conversations, collaboration, and celebration with the people and businesses who make up the SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE® Works universe. You read that right; we will close the event after lunch. No morning GS. Sleep in after your evening of reconnecting with old friends – and meeting new ones – at the Special Event on Broadway on Tuesday evening. Join us to hear from more passionate people making a difference in the world, including our keynote speaker Astrophysicist, Science Communicator & Poker Champion, Liv Boeree. And make sure you stay for the exciting conclusion of “Don’t Miss This Demo.” We’ll also take time to recognize our SWUGN leaders during this closing session.
If you haven’t registered there’s still time! See you soon.
