This Year’s Keynote speakers
Are you ready to be inspired by some of today’s greatest thinkers, disruptors and innovators? Well, 3DEXPERIENCE World will definitely be the place to be to hear from the people poised to improve the world through innovations in design and technology. This year’s keynote speakers represent thought leaders from a myriad of industries who will share their vision of how technology can be used to have a positive impact on the world around us.
Let us look at this year’s exciting lineup of keynote speakers:
Charles Adler, Co-founder and former Head of Design, kickstarter.com
As the Kickstarter phenomenon grows, Charles has been widely recognized as one of the digital era’s most exciting innovators. As a leading social entrepreneur and designer, his work includes systems design, interaction and communications design, interface design and information architecture.
Charles co-founded Kickstarter in 2009 and shaped it into the world’s largest marketplace dedicated to funding independent creative endeavors. Since its inception, it has raised over $4 billion from over 15 million people for over 150,000 successful projects ranging from computer games to music albums, technology, fashion, educational projects and even full-length feature films.
In 2013, Charles was named one of Forbes Magazine’s Top 12 Most Disruptive Figures in Business and co-founded the online art publication Subsystence as well as Source-ID, where he operated as Principal Creative Director from 2004 to 2009.
Charles is a trusted authority on crowdfunding, starting a unique business and the importance of good design. Do not miss hearing this champion of innovation’s inspiring talk.
Dean Kamen, Founder of First Robotics and DEKA
Making his return to our annual user event, Dean Kamen is an inventor, entrepreneur, and tireless advocate for science and technology. His own passion for technology and its practical uses has driven his personal determination to spread the word about technology’s virtues and by so doing to change the culture of the United States.
As an inventor, he holds more than 440 U.S. and foreign patents, many of them for innovative medical devices that have expanded the frontiers of health care worldwide. While still a college undergraduate, he invented the first wearable infusion pump, which rapidly gained acceptance from such diverse medical specialties as oncology, neonatology, and endocrinology. In 1976, he founded his first medical device company, AutoSyringe, Inc. Then, working with leading diabetes researchers, Dean pioneered the design and adoption of the first portable insulin pump.
He also founded DEKA Research & Development Corporation to develop internally generated inventions, such as the HomeChoiceTM peritoneal dialysis system, technology to improve slide preparation for the CYTYC (now Hologic Inc.) ThinPrep® Pap Test, and critical components of the UVARTM XTSTM System, an extracorporeal photophereisis device for treatment of T-Cell lymphoma.
Sam Rogers, Additive Design Lead and a Jet Suit pilot at Gravity Industries
Sam focuses on design optimization of the Gravity Jet Suit, a five-turbojet engine race suit that is 3D printed entirely of metal and polymer. Sam’s passion and expertise stem from growing up making pyrotechnics, building solid fueled rocket motors, high-powered model rockets and radio-controlled aircraft. This led him to working on 3D-printed rocket engines prior to joining Gravity. He has a degree in Product Design and Technology (BSc) from Loughborough University. Sam has flown his design more than 50 MPH and has demonstrated the suit at more than 81 events, in 26 countries, since its launch, including four of the very popular TED talks.
