SOLIDWORKS World Partner Pavilion Preview Part III
The Partner Pavilion at SOLIDWORKS World 2017 is larger than ever! With 117 solution partners onsite, chances are you’ll find a feature or two to help you get your work done more accurately and in record time. The Partner Pavilion is as a diverse as the SOLIDWORKS community. While walking around the area you’ll see everything from CAM and Design Automation to 3D Printing and learning resources. If you’re trying to solve a challenge, the Partner Pavilion is a great place to start searching for a solution.
Leading up to SOLIDWORKS World 2017, we’re going to publish a handful of blog posts featuring some of the excellent exhibitors you can meet in the Partner Pavilion. Here are four companies you can meet in person and talk 3D Printing, CAM, Security, and Simulation.
Rize
Those looking to continue experiencing the new, the next, and the never before beyond the General Sessions, should visit Rize at booth 406. Rize has developed a breakthrough patented Augmented Polymer Deposition (APD) 3D printing technology that provides the world’s only means to produce one-offs of manufacturing parts on demand affordably, easily and safely. In a further first, SOLIDWORKS World 2017 will be the first time that the Rize™ One is showcased publicly.
In addition to having an interesting pedigree, Rize was founded by industry veterans from the likes of Z Corporation and Object, the Rize One is the only zero-post-processing 3D printer, which means it eliminates time-consuming, costly, messy and toxic support removal, coating, sanding and painting. It eliminates the need for messy and toxic post-processing materials, special hookups and space required for post-processing devices and the hours of expensive labor required to deal with it.
Visitors can expect to get hands-on with the printer and its parts. You’ll have a chance to look under the hood of the printer, learn about the ADP printing process, hold parts to get a feel for strength, and hear how beta customers, like Reebok and Boston Engineering, have been taking advantage of Rize’s one-of-a-kind capabilitie

BobCAD-CAM
For more than 30 years, BobCAD-CAM has been helping manufacturers be more productive by offering advanced computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided machining (CAM) software. Whether it’s a leading manufacturer or someone just getting started in CNC machining, BobCAD-CAM has the features, training, and support shops need to machine more parts, faster and easier, for less.
- BobCAD-CAM offers two main product lines, BobCAD-CAM and BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS.
- BobCAD-CAM is a standalone CAD-CAM product that allows you to design 2D and 3D CAD models, create 2-5 axis toolpath, simulate, and output g-code.
- BobCAM for SOLIDWORKS is a Gold Certified CAM plug-in that allows you to create 2-5 axis toolpath, simulate, and output g-code without ever leaving the SOLIDWORKS environment.
Stop by booth 611 to see how BobCAD-CAM will make your work easier by providing powerful, easy-to-use, and affordable CAM software that you can use right inside of SOLIDWORKS. This includes step-reducing technology and built-in intelligence that allows manufacturers to do more in less time. BobCAD-CAM’s advanced 2-5 axis CAM technology includes adaptive strategies, surface-based toolpaths, and more to deliver faster cycle times, longer tool lives, and better surface finishes.

Seclore
In 2017, it’s getting clearer that traditional businesses boundaries are shrinking or even being removed in some cases. More workers need remote access. Companies are increasingly relying on vendors for support. Most importantly, many customers want more visibility and access to projects. In any case, you need to be certain that you control Intellectual Property both inside and outside of your organization. If security is keeping you up at night, then stop by booth 1016 to meet with Seclore.
The company’s Enterprise Digital Rights Management solution enables organizations to control the usage of files wherever they go, both within and outside of organizations’ boundaries. Featuring dozens of pre-built connectors for leading enterprise applications (EFSS, DLP, ECM, ERP, and email), Seclore automates the protection of documents as they are downloaded, discovered, and shared to accelerate adoption.
A visit to booth 1016 will help you understand the potential risks of sharing intellectual property with outside agencies, and the methods by which continual control and protection may occur. Seclore also plans to introduce a SOLIDWORKS-specific solution and early adopter program. As an added bonus, you’ll get the pleasure of viewing a video inspired by a galaxy far, far away. Perhaps we’ll finally found out who shot first…

StressRefine
SOLIDWORKS Simulation is the best product on the market for stress analysis by design engineers. StressRefine is an add-on that analyzes existing models and extracts more accurate stress results, and no remeshing or user intervention required makes it even better. Basically, StressRefine gives you the tools to crank SOLIDWORKS Simulation beyond 11 at the push of a button.
StressRefine uses a powerful implemention p-adaptive finite element analysis, which leads to more accurate results. Very large models can be simulated quickly by adaptively analyzing local regions of stress concentration, automatically chosen or user-selected. StressRefine also provides feedback on mesh quality and guidance on where mesh controls would be useful.
When he’s not presenting technical sessions, founder Richard King will be present to field your questions at booth 309. If you’d like to attend Richard’s session, “Accurate Stress Analysis with SOLIDWORKS Simulation,” it’s scheduled for Wednesday, February 8 at 1:30.
