October in the SOLIDWORKS Community

We don't get this in Texas.
We don’t get this in Texas.

I could probably come up with something special about every month in the SOLIDWORKS Community, but October brings with it the newest release of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD Software.  I’ve watched the comments throughout the Beta program, seen the look on the SOLIDWORKS Bloggers faces at the 2015 Launch Event, and I’ve seen how much this release is being anticipated in the community. FYI – I’m loving it too!

SOLIDWORKS Resellers around the world are excited too, and the list of 2015 Launch Events is too long to count.  You have most likely received the information for your reseller’s event, and I highly encourage you to attend.  Not only will you get to see the new features and functionality in SOLIDWORKS 2015, you will also get a great chance to meet a ton of fellow SOLIDWORKS users, all of your resellers technical folks, and you may even run into a SOLIDWORKS employee now and then.

October also seems to be a good month for SOLIDWORKS User Group meetings.  I usually suggest to our group leaders that they avoid scheduling meetings during this month, but you can’t keep good groups down.  As of today there are 24 more local chapter meetings this month.

The SOLIDWORKS World 2015 call-for-papers closes soon.  Get those abstracts submitted.

I’ll be in the Philadelphia area for the MARISUG meeting tomorrow night, and I will attend SOLIDWORKS reseller events in King of Prussia, PA and Garwood, NJ this week.  I hope to see some of you at one of these events.
