Sneak Peek: 15 Features coming in SOLIDWORKS 2015 – Drawing Zones
Each year SOLIDWORKS releases a new version of its flagship product. This year, during the 15 days prior to the release of SOLIDWORKS 2015 we’re taking a look at 15 of our favorite new tools coming in this feature packed release. To learn more about SOLIDWORKS 2015, you can click the banner above and bookmark the launch page for when it goes live on September 9th, 2014.
Drawing zones are now available in SOLIDWORKS 2015. These zones can be referenced in notes, balloons, view labels and in the revision table. Zones can also exist on every sheet of a SOLIDWORKS Drawing file.
If a view, note or revision symbol is moved to a different zone, the note or revision table updates automatically. Zone lines can also be toggled on or off on the drawing for clarity to get a better understanding of which Zone and object resides in.
Zone identifiers make it easier to find information on large and also within multi-sheet drawings.
