"The Truth is….We Are Ironman"

I want that!!

I think that every SolidWorks user that has seen the Ironman movies and watched as Tony Stark casually manipulated a holographic image of his suit said the same thing.  I think we can all agree that we’re not there yet, but as Rustin Webster and Paul Collins will tell you at SolidWorks World, we’re getting closer.

RustinWebsterRustin and Paul both work as mechanical engineers at Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, and between them have 13 years with SolidWorks and hold a total of 17 SolidWorks Certifications.  They’ve been researching alternate input devices for a while and have come up with several examples of technology that might replace the standard mouse and keybord combination we’ve been using since the beginning.  I saw their session at the SWUGN Summit – Nashville and it was very interesting.  They have also presented this session at the North Alabama SolidWorks User Group, and according to Ricky Jordan, the crowd went wild.

PaulCollinsI guarantee you’ll enjoy this session.  Both speakers are very passionate about what they are doing, and their sense of humor and interaction with the audience is quite refreshing.  They also bring toys that you might get a chance to play with.

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
