And…I'm Back

And just in time.  This is a great time to talk about what’s going on in the SolidWorks Community.

SolidWorks 2014 has been out for a couple of months, and I was fortunate to attend several reseller roll-outs and watch SolidWorks users ooh and ahh over the new features and functionality.  I have my favorites – “Through All” in both directions, some of the new “sticky” settings (Trim Side Bends was my suggestion), Slot Mates, and my absolute favorite of 2014…ALL UPPERCASE.

The SolidWorks User Group Network has been busy as well.  Even this late in the year, there are still 28 meetings on the schedule (as of this writing), and we’re on pace to shatter attendance records once again.  So far, 13 new SolidWorks User Groups have joined the network this year.

SolidWorks World 2014 is still more than two months away, but for a lot of us, that means it’s right around the corner.  The agenda is live and session selection is due to start very soon.  Some of the best and brightest SolidWorks users, resellers, and employees will be in San Diego to share information, to learn new things, and to have some fun.  I hope to see you there.

More about SWUGN and SolidWorks World 2014  coming soon….

I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
