SolidWorks 2014 Sneak Peek: Consistent Patterning Tools

SolidWorks 2014 will be officially unveiled on September 9, and while you’re waiting for the big reveal, we’re going to give you a few peeks at some of the new features.

Assemblies now offer the same patterning capabilities available at the part level, with sketch and curve-driven options added in SolidWorks 2014.  One key feature is curve-driven patterns. It’s now possible to pattern components or subassemblies along curves in an assembly. This makes creation of patterns, such chains and conveyor systems, faster and easier than ever before.
