SolidWorks Solution Partner Spotlight: IGE+XAO
Today we're hearing from David Sobot of IGE+XAO, a company specializing in electrical CAD.
Why did you choose to work in this field?
Because it is very diverse and I have wonderful colleagues. Most of the IGE+XAO employees have been in the company for a long time, which means that I have known most of them for more than 14 years. We will celebrate our 25th anniversary very soon and are still working in a nice and dynamic atmosphere.
What is your proudest career moment?
To be involved in the creation of IGE+XAO Germany and to work with my German team to become one of the most important subsidiaries of the group.
How has your partnership with Solidworks made a difference in your business?
It has opened new opportunities to us. Of course we have a lot of common customers, but due to the tremendous amount of SolidWorks users as well as the professional VAR network, we can approach new markets. In addition to this, our SEE Electrical product range targets the same market segment, and it makes sense to propose a solution which enables to the user to match his mechanical and electrical requirements in thePDM process.
Who's your favorite musician?
Very difficult question. I have an eclectic taste in term of music and movies. As far as music is concerned, I would say from Pink Floyd and Archive because they make me travel back to the past when I had very long hair! I also listen to a lot of French singers, jazz bands and classic jazz (I love Gershwin).
