2lbs of Bacon, 2lbs of Sausage, a Bottle of Sauce and a Bottle of Rub

Care to take a guess what that title means?  Never mind, I'll just tell you.

Those are the ingredients of something known as "The Bacon Explosion", a football-sized BBQ dish that packs a whopping 5000 calories and 500 grams of fat.  Apparently, they eat this in Kansas City.

Kansas City has long been famous for it's BBQ, but come mid-May, it may very well be known for it's SWUGN Summit event.  The lineup of presenters is awesome, and local Kansas City SolidWorks User Group leader Wayne Tiffany is famous in his own right.

You'll recognize names like Ed Eaton, Charles Culp, and Adrian Fanjoy – but we've also got Lynnette Sabatka, Brian Reel, and Darrel Lampley.  There are technical sessions too - with titles that include words like "cool", "radical", and "maximizing".  You just can't pass it up.

Registration has been strong so far, and it looks like we'll easily break the KC attendance record of 91 set back in 2006.  There's plenty of space for more, and plenty of time to get registered.

We'll be at the DoubleTree Hotel in Overland Park on Tuesday, May 17th, from 7:30pm to 5:00pm – register here.

I've ordered Pork for lunch, but it won't come wrapped in bacon.  Just a nice apricot glaze and fewer calories.  You can clog your arteries some other time.
