SWUGN Year in Review – September 2009

Top Story
Jim Lowery retires after four years as the San Antonio SolidWorks User Group leader.  One of the most personable people you will ever meet, Jim steps down at the top of his game and hands over the reins to Anthony Gomez.  That's not the end of the story though – look for a special announcement regarding Jim in late January.

Honorable Mentions
Kevin De Smet has a birthday, and celebrates with a SolidWorks Cake.

If you submitted an abstract for a session at SolidWorks World 2010, you got an email this month letting you know if it was accepted (or not).

My favorite city in the US, Las Vegas finally gets a SolidWorks User group.  I will visit.

Richard Doyle
My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
