SWUGN Year in Review – December 2009

Top Story
After more than fours years of leading CTSUG by himself, Bill Casnovsky finally gets two volunteers to help with the group.  Steve Calvert and Rex Jackson assume Vice-President in charge of stuff positions and immediately set about updating the group's decade old logo.  Other good stuff follows (and continues).

Honorable Mentions
Snow, sleet, and freezing temperatures in the Midwest cancel or postpone at least 9 user group meetings in the US.

NTSUG leader Christie Buresh gives birth to 9 lb Holleigh Grace.  It's the first time that I know of that a user group leader has become a new mother.

In keeping with a promise I made last year, my vacation officially started on December 18th.  I hardly touch my computer for two weeks.

I hope everyone had a Happy Holiday season and a terrific New Year.  2010 is going to be a great year!!

My official title is Senior User Advocacy & SolidWorks User Groups - but most people just call me "The User Group Guy". I've been a SolidWorks user since 1997, and was one of the founding members of the SWUGN Committee. Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
