Meeting Jay Guthrie

Way back in 1999, a fellow named Jay Guthrie wondered online how he could convince his boss to send him to SolidWorks World in New Orleans.  My reply at the time was enough to make it happen, and I promised to meet up with him so we could share an adult beverage.  Somehow that never happened.

Fast forward to 2009 and the SWUGN Summit – Minneapolis.  I recieve an email notification every time someone signs up for the SWUGN Summit events, and I was very pleased to see the name Jay Guthrie.  I didn't know at first if this was the Jay Guthrie, so I sent a note – sure enough it is.

After nearly ten years, I'm really excited about meeting him for the first time.  I don't know if we'll get to have that beer, but if we do, it's on me Jay.

By the way – if you want to meet Jay (or any of the other 160 SolidWorks user that will be there tommorow) you'll have to be signed up already.  This event has sold out for the second year in a row.
