An End of Summer Ritual – A Lot of SolidWorks User Group Meetings

It's hard for me to accept that summer is coming to an end.  Sure, my kids went back to school yesterday, but it's forecast to be 103 degrees here today, with little or no relief in sight.

Something I have come to accept is the September surge in user group meetings.  So far there are 29 meetings scheduled for the month of September and 42 total including the rest of August and into November.

Not all SolidWorks User Groups take the summer off.  The Northeast Ohio SolidWorks User Group takes advantage of the good weather to hold an annual BBQ meeting, and a couple of other groups have followed suit.  But many of them are wary of meetings in the summer months because of vacations, kids home from school, etc.  The Chicago SolidWorks User Group even defines September as the "start of the season".

Whatever the reason for the September surge, its always nice when it happens.

Since starting the Central Texas SolidWorks User Group in 1999, my career path has led me to DS SolidWorks and a dream job supporting the SolidWorks User Group Network worldwide.
