SWW Speaker Spotlight – Devon Sowell

Devon Sowell is another one of those special SolidWorks users that spends a lot of his free time helping others.  From local user group presentations, to SWUGN Summit events, Devon does them all.  He's a regular on the SolidWorks discussion forums, and still finds time to run his own business – 3-D Design Solutions.

Last year in San Diego, Devon did two presentations – SolidWorks Explorer and FeatureWorks Tips and Tricks.  I attended the latter session for two reasons…to learn from Devon, and to see if there was anything is his presentations that I could "borrow" for my own later in the week.  There was 😉

This year at SolidWorks World, Devon will again present on both topics, and I know they'll be well attended and highly rated.  Both topics get to the core of a lot of what engineers and designers have to do these days – manage files and work with imported/translated data.  I recommend you attend both if possible.

One more little tidbit – Devon recently did a search of his system, and found out that he has over 160,000 SolidWorks files. That's amazing – read about it on his blog.
