Cincinnati is Doing Just Fine

Admittedly a little nervous, Jeff Arthur handled his first meeting as President of the Greater Cincinnati SolidWorks User Group with the ease of a veteran.  Hosted by Richards Industries, the meeting featured a terrific tour of the manufacturing facility, some really good pizza and Halloween candy, and an enthusiastic crowd of SolidWorks users.  I got my first chance show the "What’s REALLY New in SolidWorks 2009" presentation, and learned a few things in the process.

I had come across a new feature in 2009 that allows you to center text within a rectangle, but I couldn’t make it work.  With a little help from the audience, we finally figured it out – and it’s now one of my favorite new features.  It’s that kind of group dynamic that makes SolidWorks User Group meetings so special.

I could tell that Jeff had a great time and enjoyed his first experience as the group leader – Cincinnati is in great hands.
