Pittsburgh Wraps Up the Midwest Swing

If there’s a sure-fire way to double the attendance at a user group meeting, it’s an appearance by SolidWorks CEO Jeff Ray.  Each of the three groups that Jeff visited last week upped their average attendance by at least 100%.

The Western Pennsylvania SolidWorks User Group was no exception.  The 11:30am starting time allowed for several very good presentations, including a session on 3D VIA by Mike Sabochek of SolidWorks.  There were plenty of questions for Jeff as well, and he even got a chance to tell some Boston Red Sox stories.

The group also announced a new leader – Lou Bojarski – who takes over from Jeff Beardsley.  Jeff has accepted a position with the local SolidWorks reseller and will be a huge help to Lou as the group moves forward.  Thanks Jeff for all of your hard work over the last couple of years, and good luck Joe on the new adventure.
