Little Time Savers

Often times, when spending long hours working on a CAD model, there are times when you will need to do many repetitive operations, one after another. It would be good if CAD systems could just read our minds and “know” this is what we need to do next, or in the case of adding fifty different fillets to your model, it would just know that we need to keep doing the same thing over and over. Fortunately for SolidWorks users there is such a function; it is called the Repeat Command.  By default it is accessible by clicking your <enter> key. By doing this you repeat the last command you were previously in. The only exceptions to this are viewing commands like rotate and zoom.  If the <enter> key is not the most convenient key for repeating, the user has the option to assign another key to it.

For your design tasks, we can’t make those fifty fillet features go away, but we can sure make it faster to get back into the fillet feature to get them done.
