It’s the start of a new competitive season for SOLIDWORKS EDU to support Student Teams from all over the world. Student Teams in regional, national and international competitions can apply for SOLIDWORKS sponsorship – all for free. And now we are introducing “cloud storage” with data management to help students manage their parts, assemblies, drawings, specifications, and other document all connected to SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
For over 20 years, SOLIDWORKS has sponsored student teams and walked the fields, paddocks and pits, in all kinds of weather, to talk with students. From rockets in the air at SpaceX to underwater robots at AUVSI Robot sub, the SOLIDWORKS Edu team and our Value added partners cheer on student engineering teams that use our design, simulation and documentation software as they prepare for the job skills needed and the best careers.
Going to a SAE event, FIRST Robotics competition, or meeting with a sponsored team at their school, simply makes us smile.
With 3DEXPERIENCE Engineer, you now have access to cloud storage of your SOLIDWORKS data on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform where you can share, revise and manage files – all within the SOLIDWORKS interface.

You also get access to SIMULIA Technology featuring the Abaqus solver, durability analysis, non-linear materials, and electromagnetic simulation.

Electromagnetic Analysis is a new area for SOLIDWORKS teams. With Electromagnetic Engineer, teams have access to CST Studio.
Does your team have access to Chromebooks, MAC or Tablets? Then try SOLIDWORKS Cloud Apps that are 100% browser based – no installation required.

No matter what option your team selects, you will have the tools to develop a great competitive vehicle, robot, or rocket and the job skills for the best careers.

Don’t see your competition or event on the application? Let us know something about this new competition and we will connect with the organizers to add you to our growing list.
