We’ll see how we now have an option to ‘Include suppressed components’ in our Pack and Go in 2018!\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>First off, what is Pack and Go?\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Pack and Go, if you’ve never used it, is a lifesaving feature! It’s quite simple – we’ll find this feature under ‘File > Pack and Go’\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Now that we’ve got a little background on Pack and Go, what’s been enhanced?\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Sometimes when you’re sending assembly files to customers or vendors, you’d like to control what they have access to. Without having to delete the components from the assembly, often times you’ll suppress the component(s). Unfortunately, the default behavior in 2017 is to include suppressed components. Of course, you can always uncheck the components, including suppressed components, that you don’t want in the Pack and Go (they’re indicated with a ‘Not Open’).\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>But what if you had several parts and assemblies? It’d be painful to go through every single part\u002Fassembly to uncheck them, right? Now, in 2018, you have an option on whether you’d like an assembly to include the suppressed components! When you go to ‘File > Pack and Go’, you’ll now see a checkbox that will say ‘Include suppressed components’. What this means for the sender is that if you wanted to send over just certain parts of the assembly, but none of the suppressed components – you now have that option!\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>In today’s article, we looked at one of the newest enhancements with the beloved Pack and Go feature! Along with the option to Include or exclude drawings, simulation results, toolbox components, decals, appearances, and scenes, we can now choose whether to include suppressed components in our Pack and Go!
