When you walk towards the engineering building you are greeted by its mission, “to nurture engineer-leaders and to address global challenges through research, innovation, inspiration and influence”\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"262\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fchevy-introduces-lee-kim-seng-300x262-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54119\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>It was truly an honor to step onto this  campus to visit one of the leading engineering educators of the SOLIDWORKS community, Professor Lee Kim Seng.  Professor Lee was introduced to us by his former student, Chevy Kok, Chief Technical Officer, \u003Ca title=\"SolidWorks Reseller Singapore 3D ClassWorks\" href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.3dclassworks.com\u002F\">3D ClassWorks\u003C\u002Fa>, our Value Added Reseller.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"253\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fnus-lee-course-engineering-visualization-300x253-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54120\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>Since 2003, Professor Lee has been using web based techniques in his Engineering Visualization & Modeling course using SOLIDWORKS.  Over the years, NUS students have become true leaders in their designs in competitions all over the world.  Just this year, the SOLIDWORKS EDU team has seen NUS students perform well at FSAE Michigan, AUVSI Foundation RoboSub and last week at Maritime RobotX.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"197\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fmarie-with-grace-chia-from-team-bumblebee-nus1-300x197-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54121\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>We got to visit with the Formula SAE teams and engineering students.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fsolidworks-visit-nus-fsae-300x205-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54122\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>You notice walking through the engineering halls of NUS that it is filled with women engineering students – 27% which is high compared to US overall standards in mechanical engineering.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fyong-and-ming-nus-225x300-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54123\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>Kunhimohamed Naduvanchery, founder of 3D ClassWorks explained how NUS is now one of the largest providers of the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam to its students – providing a credential that students can take with them for skilled employment.  The opportunity to get the job of her dreams with SOLIDWORKS,was even featured in the valedictorian’s speech at this year’s  graduation.  Chevy continues to return to NUS to volunteer his time to teach courses on advanced SOLIDWORKS Simulation to students.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cfigure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\u003Cimg loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" src=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Fnus-highschool-solidworks-visit-300x205-1.jpg.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-54124\">\u003C\u002Ffigure>\u003Cp>We toured the NUS High School that also uses SOLIDWORKS.
