engineering, manufacturing, design, and outreach, with the painting, “\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fcollections\u002F170047\">Awesome Women in Engineering\u003C\u002Fa>” by Mark Algar.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>DASSAULT SYSTEMES commissioned the artist, Mark Algar to highlight 6 incredible women and their passions.  Mark, a long-time SOLIDWORKS client, now full-time artist, created works for us such as “\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fportfolio-viewer?collection=171894#lg=1&artworkId=4534332\">The Magic Wheelchair\u003C\u002Fa>” and the “\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fportfolio-viewer?collection=171894#lg=1&artworkId=4534333\">The Grand Challenge\u003C\u002Fa>” that are displayed in our Dassault Systemes North American Headquarters in Waltham, MA.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Mark interviewed the women about their work and achievements.  The results produced not only the painting but also links to their stories on his connected web page.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>As a design engineer, entrepreneur, and ambassador, \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fportfolio-viewer?collection=170047#lg=1&artworkId=4505431\">Melissa Ahmed\u003C\u002Fa>’s passion shows young entrepreneurs, females from ethnic minorities, and students, that engineering is a viable career choice.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>My friend \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fportfolio-viewer?collection=170047#lg=1&artworkId=4505386\">Betty Baker\u003C\u002Fa> is a SOLIDWORKS Champion, User Group Committee Leader, and a STEM leader educating young women about the exciting opportunities in manufacturing.  As a product engineer for Ashley Furniture, she mentors a FIRST Robotics team and even young kids starting in grade 5.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.markalgarfinearts.com\u002Fportfolio-viewer?collection=170047#lg=1&artworkId=4505349\">Danielle\u003C\u002Fa> Boyer, Founder and CEO,  The\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.steamconnection.org\u002F\"> STEAMConnection,\u003C\u002Fa> is a young Indigenous (Ojibwe – Sault Ste Marie Tribe) robotics inventor, author, activist, and advocate for youth who has been teaching kids since she was ten years old.
