Right-click on the file in the \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE task pane (or use Ctrl + Alt + S) and select Save with Options.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp> 2) \u003Cstrong>Select Collaborative Space\u003C\u002Fstrong>: In the dialog box, ensure you are saving to the correct storage area we call a \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fhelp.solidworks.com\u002F2025\u002Fenglish\u002Fsolidworks\u002Fsldworks\u002Ft_visualize_3DX_create_collaborative_space.htm\">Collaborative Space\u003C\u002Fa>. Collaborative spaces provide an area where people with different job functions and responsibilities can work together to produce and deliver content.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>You&nbsp;can create as many collaborative spaces as required for your business purposes.&nbsp;You can add users as members with a&nbsp;responsibility, regardless of their organization.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>3) \u003Cstrong>Organize with Bookmarks\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Click Select Bookmark to organize your data into bookmark folders, similar to a local directory. You can create new bookmarks here to keep your project structured.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>4) \u003Cstrong>Finalize Upload\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Click Save. The platform will upload the parent file along with all its references, and update the orange &#8220;unsaved&#8221; icon to a green check mark to confirm the upload was successful.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>I recommend using the Save to\u003Cstrong> 3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE option directly in SOLIDWORKS when you have a small number of files or just one assembly or drawing structure to upload. For larger amounts of data coming from multiple folders, use the Batch Save to \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE tool, which I’ll cover next.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>2. \u003Cstrong>Batch Save to 3DEXPERIENCE\u003C\u002Fstrong>\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The Batch Save to \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE tool, available from the SOLIDWORKS Tools menu, allows content from multiple folders to be uploaded to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. This is an automated, asynchronous tool that has the same secure upload and database object-creation capabilities as the Save to \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE command. It allows saving SOLIDWORKS files and other documents from multiple folders into various collaborative spaces and assigning bookmarks. This command is suitable for large data sets that contain multiple projects, with each project generally less than 5GB.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Benefits include:\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\u003Cli>Easy to use and implement\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>Accessible to the end user\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>Included with the platform connection for SOLIDWORKS\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>Bookmark automation\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>Asynchronous\u003C\u002Fli>\n\n\n\n\u003Cli>Supports revision mapping\u003C\u002Fli>\n\u003C\u002Ful>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Before you run the Batch Save, you’ll want to analyze your data and fix issues before uploading. We offer a cool tool called the File Preparation Tool, which can be accessed from the SOLIDWORKS Tools menu or from the Batch Save to \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE tool. This handy utility will scan your files for duplicate names, missing references, and custom property data types before uploading.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The File Preparation Assistant is designed to analyze the quality of legacy file sets and identify compatibility issues that could cause downstream problems when working with the data later.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp> 3) \u003Cstrong>Select Your Folders\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Return to the Batch Save to \u003Cstrong>3D\u003C\u002Fstrong>EXPERIENCE dialog box and click Add Folder to select the root directories containing your files. You can prioritize upload order by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp> 4) \u003Cstrong>Choose Your Destination\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Specify the Collaborative Space and designate a Bookmark to keep your files organized on the cloud.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp> 5) \u003Cstrong>Set Options and Save\u003C\u002Fstrong>: Check the option to Include referenced files located outside of the selected folder(s) to ensure dependencies aren’t left behind. Select a folder for log files and backups, then click Save (or Start) to upload your files.\u003C\u002Fp>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>The Batch Save tool improves efficiency because it save runs asynchronously, in a separate process.
