As previously mentioned, the Status bar is located in the lower right corner of the \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.draftsight.com\u002F?utm_medium=Display&utm_source=Blog&utm_campaign=DraftSight_Blog&utm_content=Blog_RC_InText_11282019&utm_term=link-text\" data-id=\"59203\">DraftSight\u003C\u002Fa> application, and holds features that control and guide your cursor while you design.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a recap, last post covered the Snap Grid, Snap, Ortho, and Polar functions. The Snap Grid and Snap icons complement each other by displaying and attracting your cursor to your current coordinate system. Similarly, the Polar function activates guiding lines for drawing certain angles, and Ortho makes it so that you can only draw horizontally or vertically.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This post will be covering two icons that are most similar to the Snap and Polar features, because they both activate advising lines and indicators for easy alignment while drawing.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting with ESnap (which stands for Entity Snap) this feature does exactly what its name suggests – it snaps your cursor to certain points on your entities as you design.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While drawing with ESnap on, your midpoints, endpoints, intersection, and center points will be highlighted as you hover over them. This allows for effortless coordination and connection of your entities as you draw, making your drafting sessions quick and productive.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By right clicking on the ESnap icon, you can access its drawing options by selecting Settings. There, you can specify which Geometry and Reference ESnaps you want to activate.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ETrack icon works similarly, in that when you hover over an entity’s endpoints or midpoints, a straight guiding line extends from those points.
