So, this blog is taking it back to the basics with the Arc command.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Located under the Draw section of the Home tab in the ribbon, the different types of Arcs are accessed by selecting the down-facing arrow next to the icon. I’ve found that when including arcs in my designs, there’s always a drawing sequence or command that best fits my needs – improving my productivity and overall drafting experience.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each drawing option is activated by selecting your Arc of choice, and following \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.draftsight.com\u002F?utm_medium=Display&utm_source=Blog&utm_campaign=DraftSight_Blog&utm_content=Blog_RC_InText_10172019&utm_term=link-text\" data-id=\"59326\">DraftSight\u003C\u002Fa>’s prompts in the command window.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most elementary Arc is listed first, and consists of specifying three points: your start point, through point and end point. This option allows the most drawing freedom, but may be less exact and quick to use compared to the following Arcs.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.draftsight.com\u002F?utm_medium=Display&utm_source=Blog&utm_campaign=DraftSight_Blog&utm_content=Blog_RC_InText_10172019&utm_term=link-text\" data-id=\"59326\">DraftSight\u003C\u002Fa> then lists three different groupings of Arc making options, which I would describe as shortcuts, because they give you more control when inserting specific measurements or angles.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first section includes arc drawing sequences that begin with the start point, then the center point, and the end point, angle or length of the arc last.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next section lists arcs that begin with the start point, then the end point, and the angle, direction, or radius of the curve last.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final grouped section consists of arcs beginning with the center point, then the start point, and then the end point, angle, or length of the curve.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lastly, the Continue option allows you to create an arc tangent to the last line or arc drawn.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pro tip: right clicking after creating an arc will repeat the command, but only as a three-point arc.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I hope this post encourages you to incorporate more Arc drawing options in your \u003Ca href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fwww.draftsight.com\u002F?utm_medium=Display&utm_source=Blog&utm_campaign=DraftSight_Blog&utm_content=Blog_RC_InText_10172019&utm_term=link-text\" data-id=\"59326\">DraftSight\u003C\u002Fa> designs!\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check out the video below to see some Arcs in action!\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cdiv class=\"ds-video\">\u003Ca data-3ds-videoplayer=\"modal\" href=\"https:\u002F\u002Fblog-assets.solidworks.com\u002Fuploads\u002F2025\u002F12\u002Farc2-1.mp4\" target=\"_blank\">\u003Cspan class=\"ImageCover Border Block\" style=\"background-image: url(\u002Fassets\u002Fimg\u002F3ds-default.webp);
