Remembering Those Who Served
With Memorial Day coming up, we’d like to reflect on the courage and sacrifices of those who have served our country. Before we celebrate this holiday weekend with a backyard barbecue or a trip to the beach, we hope you’ll join us in remembering what this holiday really means and commend the people who gave their lives to protect the many freedoms and rights we enjoy today.
In honor of these service men and women, we wanted to share a few memorable quotes from some influential figures in American history:
“This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.”
– Elmer Davis
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.”
– John F. Kennedy
“The brave die never, though they sleep in dust, their courage nerves a thousand living men.”
– Minot J. Savage
To the soldiers who have served, we want to thank you for your service and for ensuring our safety. We salute you—not just today, but every day. Have a safe and blessed Memorial Day.
